About Us
Passionate about protecting the health of the people, pets and planet we love
our story
We don’t just kill bugs, we protect health
I’m Rowan Gregson. I’ve been in the pest control industry for over 35 years. My wife, Pania, and I ran a small, multi award-winning pest management business for 16 years, specialising in termite management. We sold that business in 2016.
During my time in this industry, I’ve seen it all. From an accidental spill of arsenic inside a home to a deliberate mixing of a cocktail of highly toxic pesticides to treat a kitchen cockroach infestation. Even recently, I saw someone spraying for spiders inside a horse stable, with the horse still in it!
We have come a long way in this industry from the times when highly toxic organochlorines were sprayed on everything from top to toe. Thankfully these were banned in Australia in 1995.
What concerns me the most is that these antiquated and unnecessarily dangerous practices are still in use today!
Pania and I started Pestgo with one clear purpose – to protect the health of the people, pets and planet we love, and to empower others to do the same. We have developed a unique health-centred approach to pest management that delivers optimal results with minimal pesticide use and minimal impact to the environment.
We’re only small now but our goal is to engage like-minded, passionate people who put health first to join our team of Environmental Pest Specialists.
At Pestgo, we’re not your standard pest control company. We don’t just kill bugs, we protect heath. So you can live. Pest free.
our purpose
To protect the health of the people, pets and planet we love
And to empower others to do the same. Not just from the disease and damage caused by pests, but also from exposure to the harmful chemicals traditionally used to manage pests.
Everything we do and every decision we make is centred around safeguarding the health and safety of:
our customers, their family, their neighbours and pets;
our team members;
the general public;
natural resources such as air, water, soils, plants and animals;
beneficial insects and organisms; and
the broader environment in which we all live.
Water, earth, animals and plants are just some of the resources that we care deeply about. Our unique health-centred approach to pest management has been developed to preserve and protect our natural environment and the inhabitants within it.
our guiding principles
The Eight Pillars of Pestgo
Health First
This is the underpinning principle of Pestgo. We exist for one reason – to protect the health of the people, pets and planet we love, and to empower others to do the same. And not just from the disease and damage caused by pests, but also from exposure to the harmful chemicals traditionally used to manage pests.
Everything we do and every decision we make is centred around safeguarding the health and safety of you, those around you and our broader environment.
Our unique health-centred approach enables us to deliver optimal results with minimal pesticide use and minimal impact to the environment – safer for you, safer for your pets and safer for our planet.
Integrity
We will always be honest, open and transparent in our dealings with you. We will only make promises we can commit to. We want you to have confidence that we will do what we say we will.
At no time will we recommend a service that we know you don’t need. We apply ‘The Grandma Rule’ – would we recommend this to our Grandma in the same situation?
We value the trust our customers place in us and seek to develop strong, long-term relationships with all our customers.
Respect
We will always treat you and your property with respect. We close gates, put manhole covers back and clean up any mess. We remove our boots, or use over boots, and use drop sheets for any work carried out inside a home.
Time is important to us and we respect yours. That’s why we offer fixed time appointments so you don’t have to wait around all day wondering if or when we will arrive. We ensure that enough time is allowed to enable the job to be done thoroughly.
Collaboration
We believe that effective pest management is a collaborative effort. Therefore, our goal is to empower homeowners to take non-chemical controls into their own hands through education and advice. Often there are simple things that can be done around the home to reduce, and in some cases even eliminate, the risk of certain pest infestations.
We will help you identify the conditions around your home that are attractive to pests, also known as conducive conditions, and understand what you can do to rectify them. The more you can do to discourage pests, the less pesticide will need to be used to control them.
So your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make your home less attractive than your neighbours!
Conservancy
Our unique health-centred approach to pest management has been developed to preserve and protect our natural environment and the inhabitants within it. Water, earth, animals and plants are just some of the resources that we care deeply about.
Our paperless office extends to the field where all service paperwork is completed digitally on site and emailed to you before we leave.
Our treatments are targeted to the specific pest and area of infestation. This minimises water usage and reduces any chance of unnecessary chemical being where it’s not needed.
Any pesticides used are extremely low toxic and safe for your four-legged furry friends. If sensitive pets with fins, feathers or scales are present, extra precautionary measures are taken to ensure their absolute protection.
Excellence
From the time you make your booking to when the treatment is carried out, from your interactions with our team to the efficacy of the treatment, we want to exceed your expectations!
We are committed to continued personal and professional training and development as we believe this is key to ensuring that our expertise and service levels are continuously optimised.
But we know we’re not perfect. That’s why we ask for feedback from our customers so we know what we’re doing well, and where we can improve.
Innovation
We are insatiably curious, always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to improve the way we work. Whether it be our systems and processes, our products and application methods, or technological platforms, we are committed to delivering the most effective, targeted, low-toxic, environmentally sustainable solutions.
Community
We sincerely appreciate the ongoing support that we receive from our local residents and business community, so we try to give back where we can.
There are some wonderful and very worthy charities in our area who we support through sponsorship, attending fundraising events and donating services.
We passionately represent and advocate for our local business community through the Chamber of Commerce and Council advisory committees, and actively participate in the planning and staging of the region’s premier annual family Christmas event.
